16 Tourism Projects to Be Implemented In Bagan

Up to 16 initial projects will be implemented under the Bagan Region Tourism Development Project, according to the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism Branch Office in Bagan.
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will also be involved in the implementation to improve the tourism system in Bagan and to implement infrastructure development and human resources development under a three years project beginning in November 2014.
The project will include 3 components: institutional strengthening, infrastructure development and human resources development.
Current activities of JICA include establishing a Bagan tourism website, building tourism information centres and constructing view points and tourism routes.
